A colorful stage, men clad in reflectors with each in charge of one instrument or the other. That was the scene at this year’s Rapperholic after some up-and-coming musicians had taken turns to display their talents and prepared the way for the ‘King’ of the night, Sarkodie, to make a triumphant entry for performance patrons had been waiting for.

The anticipation at this point reached a crescendo and many would wonder how the decorated rapper known for his rap prowess and a superb opening act would show up.

Drumroll, trumpets sound to produce the ‘O Come, All Ye Faithful’ rhythm, one of the most popular Christmas carols. But that was just a teaser as the band quickly switched to dish out the instrumental of Sarkodie’s monster Hip-hop tune ‘Give Me Way’ that features Prince Bright of BukBak fame.

Employing suspense, ‘The Highest’ as the rapper is affectionately called would not show up even after two minutes and while patrons waited, they joined the band in performing the song.

“Yeah,” he finally announces his presence from backstage amid cheers; the band whose mission has been accomplished will at this point exit in style. Typical of him, he had his sunglasses, a fresh haircut with black and orange apparel to match.

The event was held on December 25 at Grand Arena, Accra.

He added: “The highlights for me were definitely how quick the CEEK team came through. They flew people from America.

Ghanaian musicians Shatta Wale and Sarkodie have had their issues in times past but in the last few months, they two have shown a lot of love and support for themselves.

From sharing links to their songs among many other things, the Sarkcess Music boss has decided to be one of the many to fully endorse Shatta Wale’s recently launched Shaxi business.

It will be recalled that Shatta Wale recently launched his much-talked-about Shaxi business which seeks to employ a lot of the youth in Ghana via providing ride services to people who will need them for some income.

Amid the many social media reactions to the idea, Sarkodie decided to state that he will be using Shatta Wale’s Shaxi as his official ride to his Rapperholic Concert slated for December 25, 2021 and asked all his fans to do the same if they don’t want to be late for the concert.

Funny enough, Sarkodie has a lot of cars that he could use for his show but then decided to support his friend and colleague Shatta Wale who will also be having a concert just around the same time.
